Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 June 2026

FloatDeck is built to be private by design. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data — no analytics, no tracking, no FloatDeck servers — except an email address you voluntarily submit to our newsletter (see “Newsletter” below). Everything else the extension does runs locally in your browser.

What FloatDeck stores (locally, on your device)

This data never leaves your browser except through Chrome’s own sync (between you and Google).

Network connections

FloatDeck makes a network request only when you choose to activate, validate, or deactivate a Pro license key — that request goes to our payment provider to verify the key, and includes only the key you entered. Some actions open a new tab to a third-party site that you explicitly trigger (e.g. Google Translate, Google Lens, a mailto: link). FloatDeck doesn’t send anything in the background.

Page content

Actions like screenshots, reading mode, copy, highlight, and QR run entirely in your browser. Captured images and copied text go to your clipboard or a local download — never uploaded anywhere.

Permissions

Newsletter (optional, opt-in)

If you type your email into the newsletter box (in the extension or on this site), that email is sent to our newsletter provider so we can email you product updates. It’s entirely opt-in, used only for FloatDeck updates, and you can unsubscribe anytime.

Payments

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record). Your payment details are processed by Lemon Squeezy / Stripe, not by FloatDeck. See Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy for details.

Children

FloatDeck is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
